Born in 1408, Asher became a knight at the age of nineteen and served his king as well as the people with a fierce passion. By age twenty-four, he married the love of his life Isabella and was blessed with a daughter Roselyn. But Asher's happiness was never meant to last. While on a mission for the king to discover the mastermind behind a series of murders, some of Asher's men attacked a caravan of gypsies believing them to be responsible since the murders were magical in nature. One of the gyspies was revealed to be a sorceress although she had no connection to the murders. Unfortunately, the rogue knights didn't believe her and slaughtered her family. The sorceress placed the blame of the mens' sins upon Asher's shoulders for he was their commander;they suffered death and Asher in turn was cursed to lose everything he cherished. For every life that was taken by his men, Asher would live out their years; never to age, never to know the peace of death. Forever to be parted from his wife and child, the sorceress' curse striking them with an incurable illness. It would be his penance.
And so for many years, Asher wandered the earth struggling to find a way to reverse the curse of his immortality; remaining alone and without the warmth of human connections. Until by chance he came across a young sorcerer by the name of Theo Morgan, a master of the mystical arts who vows to help Asher on his quest to regain his mortality. Asher is known to be sarcastic and snarky. He often smokes when he's trying to relax and his weakness is sweets. Often times Carter will go out of their way to bake for the knight. Yet even now Asher retains many traits of his knighthood; he believes in protecting the innocent, is fiercely loyal to his friends and is willing to fight to do the right thing.
